That is about 0.5 kg a week, the pace that keeps weight off without losing muscle. Faster is rarely better.

What is a safe rate of weight loss?
About 0.5 to 1 kg a week, or roughly 2 to 4 kg a month. A useful ceiling is around 1 percent of your bodyweight per week, so heavier people can lose a little more and lighter people a little less.
Why not lose faster?
Very fast loss usually means losing muscle alongside fat, feeling drained, and rebounding once a crash diet ends. A steady pace keeps your muscle and is far more likely to stay off.
Is the timeline exact?
It is a realistic estimate. Real weight loss is quicker at the start, partly water, and slower as you go. Judge progress on the multi-week trend rather than any single weigh-in.
